We’re excited to share another major step forward in our journey to bring quality education to children in Pakistan. The K2 Step Sara school will be located in Pattoki – approximately 50 miles southwest of Lahore.

Land Surveying
Over the past few weeks, our project manager Iqbal Chaudhry has been on site in Pattoki along with the team of volunteers and professional project managers, general contractors, and site engineers. The team has been hard at work surveying and preparing the land where the future K2 Step Sara School will soon stand. The initial surveying and site preparation has been completed, ensuring the land is ready for the next stage of construction. You can see in the photos below how the area has been carefully measured and leveled with each line marking the future classrooms, playground, and gathering spaces that will empower a new generation of learners.

Ground Breaking Ceremony
To celebrate the beginning of construction for the K2 Step Sara school, we recently held a groundbreaking ceremony at the site. The school is named in the honor of Iqbal Chaudhry’s mother who donated the land for the school. Local community members, educators, and supporters gathered to mark this special moment and offer prayers for the success of the project. It was a powerful reminder of how deeply this school is needed and how much it means to the families who will benefit from it.
